I like the idea and the functionality, but the form is less than sublime. I think something a little more streamlined might be cool. But as someone pointed out, I wouldn't want my hands that close to the stem.

On my chopper i like having things integrated into the handlebars(internal throttle etc.).Having a integrated lever in the bar could be interesting.

Thanks for quoting me. Now, I didn't exactly say that one wouldn't want their hands so close to the stem; I was just wondering who the heck would want to do that. I've never seen such a cyclist in my life, and if I did, I would have to shout out something to the effect of "OH WHAT A GIGANTIC D**CHE!"

I like the idea, just not the execution.

i sort of like it. perhaps the lever could be a bit longer.
o wait am i not supposed to like it because everyone else dosn't?
*awaits for "you can like it but you're a moron if you do" response"
it is crazy expensive.
i dunno, i could see it looking nice on certain builds.....

There's a lot wrong with that stem/lever (well, actually only the price, the looks, the function and the weight.. but that's about it), but at least it works a bit better than that scrotum-activated abomination we've seen around lately.

If you like something and feel like sharing that with the rest, just do it; don't get all bent out of shape, it's not so difficult to think with your own head, even on BFSSFG - though it is, I'll give you that, the biggest congregation of comformists in the universe. BFSSFG didn't disintegrate every molecule of spinal cord, did it?

Your post does make you a jackass, but not for the reason you're thinking.

Your cog is slipping.
Not caring how old the thread is isn't the issue, as actually contributing to an old thread makes perfect sense. Instead - as stated by Jaytron - you bumped an ancient thread to say you like squares.

Think that someone should integrate a brake into a seatpost and send it to mucky.

I guess it would have been better to start a brand new thread asking people's opinions on something that already has 3 or so threads. It doesn't matter either way. I've read enough posts and threads on here to know biking culture is way wore more complicated and snooty than I imagined. I'll go elsewhere for general discussion.

It would be nice if came with a slightly longer lever but I love how clean it looks.

You would have to strip your chain of any lube whatsoever to use the disc caliper on your chainring. It solves one "problem" (maybe?) and makes a few more.
