Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The sharpen filter in photobucket's editing software gave it kind of a glowy look by accident. I kind of liked it lol. I'll take proper shots later.

Looks sweet Raven. I test rode a TCR with Di2 at the LBS earlier this week. I really want to get one now.

looks a lot better when the bike isn't doing a soloist assassin saddle-to-bar impression.

interesting that they have external cable routing on that frame - somewhat rare for a bike with a cutout seat tube. still, great bike, especially with the sensible component selection.

The TCR Composites have the external cable routing. I'm guessing it's a cost cutting feature to help produce a more affordable bike maybe? The TCR Advanced and Advanced SL are internally routed.

Ravenmore, I've never seen bar tape that glossy before. What kind is it?

Fitzik glossy black. Also comes in red or white. Cool thing about the white is it stays clean.

Ravenmore. In your OP, you said you were gonna sell your old TCR. I assume you had plans for a new bike. I was just curious as to what bike you were considering before the frame incident came about. Also, what year was your old TCR?

I thought his saddle to bar drop looked high in his other photos. Awesome bike.

Does it stay glossy? If so, I think I might be in love. Just need to find a good matching saddle, I guess.

Er, which line? The Fizik website doesn't refer to glossy black in any of their bar tape lines.

Yep, it stays glossy. It's hard to wrap - you have to pull on it pretty hard to get it to lay down right, but once it's on it is maintenance free. If I were to ever do white bar tape I'd do this in a heart beat. Go to ebay or google 'glossy black bar tape'. You'll find it.

Honestly I had a bunch of home/auto repairs pop up totaling $10 - $20k and was looking at selling things to help finance it. Now that I have this bike though I'm planning on keeping it - although to be honest I could make a nice chunk of change parting this bike out. Would be such a shame though. I'm planning on selling my new cross bike instead.
