Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Congrats! I think I would have been riding around the driveway/parking lot until my computer rolled over 100.0 though...

I'm rounding up. Besides I had to ride to the event and back to my car which must have added up to .2 miles. :-)

congrats on getting out there and getting the job done. That's a decent amount of climbing for your first century! Keep it up. When is your next one?

Any ride 90 miles or more is considered a century.

What is STP like? I've heard about the course and am contemplating it for '08. This year I have one long-distance event on my calendar - LOTOJA in Sept.

you are an animal. That is great that you are getting into it hard core.
