Oh I get it and funny thing is the Treks come in right below the Dales. Don't get me wrong, I know the original lugged steel ones are great bikes and actually have my eye out for one if I find a nice, big one for a good deal, not holding my breath.

And I do have a OCLV 5200 USPS frame that will get built up someday.

Needed: A good BS artist in Boulder. bike clearly needs love but could be very good - just remember the "its been wrecked, wrecked again part of the description"

Note: I want it out of my garage, so, if you have a good story, I will probably take less money. I want this to go to someone who will ride it.

https://boulder.craigslist.org/bik/d...355266267.html

Serotta Colorado III - $600 (Boulder)

Are you like me? By that, I mean, about 6'1" with a 34" inseam and kind of a bad neck? Selling my custom Serotta Colorado 3. I bought this in 2000 and spared no expense (for the time). I had Mr. Ben Serotta make this for a comfortable position, something I could take on long rides without killing my neck. It sits a little more upright than a 'race' bike, but it is still plenty fast if you can make the watts. Full Dura-Ace, carbon fork. steel frame for a comfortable ride. That was all it took too be top of the line back then. I raced the **** out of it years ago, but it has hung in the rafters for 15 years. Its been wrecked, wrecked again, and ridden for miles. Still shifts and rides great. I put new tires and chain on it ($300!), cleaned it up, and raced a crit on it recently. That was enough to remind me why I don't ride road bikes anymore!
I want it out of my garage, so, if you have a good story, I will probably take less money. I want this to go to someone who will ride it.

Raleigh Grand Prix - Sale or trade for MTB - $200 (beaverton)

This classic road bike started life as a mid 70s Raleigh Grand Prix, 10 speed. I gave it a new lease on life several years ago with updated derailleurs, bottom bracket, 3 gear crank set, 700C wheels, 7 speed rear hub, new head set, bar end shifters and a split saddle. Now with 21 speed wide range gearing it climbs hills like an MTB and rips on the flats.

There is some rust on the frame and I had always planned to have it blasted and powder coated but never got around to that but I did squirrel away a set of original Raleigh Grand Prix decals which will be included with the bike.

This is a large frame bike, 25” (64cm) seat tube length, 35” straddle height. Best for riders over 6’ tall.

$200 or trade for mountain bike that would fit a 6’2” male.
