Thanks for those lever pics, My son says these levers are the "coolest" piece on the whole bike! I agree. Don

While I wish I still had it, it was too small within a year or two after I bought it at age 16 and a half. Wildwood's most closely resembles it visually, but there are difference. It had a Durifort frame with a sloping crown fork painted a pearlescent navy blue. Record components and the same centerpull brakes. Oddly enough, my other main activity was photography yet I don't have a single decent photo of it. One day when I refile my negatives from back then maybe I'll find a forgotten picture.
Wow we have a lot in common. Around 1980 I had a PX-10E and then a Zeus Pro. Those were my stepping stone to a Masi Gran Criterium.
Then I added a Mercian that was going to be my touring bike but sold it to finance my first of three tandems.
I always regretting selling the Mercian and just recently acquired a 1985 frameset in excellent condition after searching for decades.

Cool! The Peugeot goes back to my introduction to cycling in 1972 but didn't come into my hands until 2013 when my teacher and cycling mentor asked me to take it, story is told in the thread starting here. It's a piece of my heart and I'm privileged to have it. I enjoy all my bikes but the Mercian is by far my favorite, every time I get on and start riding I think "This. This is perfect." Couldn't say why really, it just feels right. Currently set up like so:
