Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It wasn't too bad. Masks are now mandatory for customers and employees. They have a lot of stuff but certain things are in short supply. I didn't check for TP, though.

I have an idea about that, but it's too mean to mention.

I went to Costco yesterday and there was several pallets each of TP and paper towels. It seemed like everyone I saw had one of each I their cart.

HEB (awesome Texas grocery store) had shelves full of all paper products when I went yesterday. Limit one.

Same here, effective today. Makes me a lot less hesitant to go shopping, even though we are near peak. We've been rotating between Whole Foods, a local supermarket, and the local military commissary–found TP there a week ago, so we're good. Between the three we seem to be able to find pretty much everything.

I'll say one other thing, which is that I am unhappy with how the sad demographics of this pandemic are causing me to think about where I go.

I often put plain kraut on my salad.

It's not fancy kraut with beetroot.

We have regular kraut too. I often sautee onions for a bit, then add garlic, then dump in saurkraut, and put it on low. Excellent side dish with pierogies and/or brats.

The little lady ran the gauntlet at Safeway for those (and much more) today. Right now I'm drinking the brine out of the kraut container that was already in the fridge, yumm!

She also got me a couple of Watermelon Red Bulls!!!!

I love kraut. My mother used to make different kinds. There was a small restaurant here that had knockwurst and saurkraut on rye with dill pickles and mustard. Sad when they closed.

He had Chapeau for a good while; it's only the last year or so that it seems to change frequently.

True. But lately there is Avatar lability.

He’ll come around again. It’s one of my favorite pics. Maybe in a day or two.

The sauerkraut I'm eating right now says it's "old fashioned."

Unclear how that differs from modern sauerkraut.

I remembered the picture, I wondered if anyone knew who he was?

I admit when I first saw it I wondered if it was Trainsnorter himself. I think other forum members have made the same mistake.

I appropriated the pic for my avatar a few years ago off of Twitter. I have no idea who the old guy is or who took the pic.

We're having pulled pork here, along with sauerkraut's distant cousin, cole slaw!
