SRAM AXS compatibility question
Looking for advice. I want to upgrade my bike to SRAM ETAP AXS. I currently have 11 speed Shimano road cranks. Are the Shimano 11 speed chainrings compatible with the AXS chain or do I have to get a new BB and crankset? Also is there a 12 speed cassette that will fit on a 11 speed freehub? I have a Wahoo that I would rather not have to also buy cassette + freehub... since performance isn't an issue with the trainer.
Thank you

1)Yes. 2)No. Should be posted in 'bicycle mechanics'.

If you're going to a 1x setup, Wolftooth might make a chainring that will bolt up to your Shimano crankset and be compatible with a 12-speed SRAM chain. If you're going 2x, then you'll need a new crankset.
I'm not aware of a 12-speed cassette that will work with a Shimano HG 11-speed freehub, but you might be able to buy a SRAM XD freehub body for your rear hub.

I use Shimano grx 11 speed cranks with axs. The problem with most road cranks is the chain rings are too large. A 50/10 is like a 55/11.
Genuine shimano hubs and wheels can't be changed to xdr, but many other brands can.
There is a Chinese made 12 speed cassette for an hg freehub, but they may be mtb sized.

Here's a link to a 12 speed cassette that fits a shimano HG 11 speed freehub body. No clue if it works well, but for a trainer it may be tolerable.
