I get a kick out of looking at the random "lot of bike parts" that pop up on ebay and other online sites. This one is "out for delivery" today, so we'll see if what I think is in it actually is. I *think* there is a little gem of a FD in there....

I was looking at garage sale ads on CL for furniture for my daughter to furnish her college apartment when I spied a checkerboard decal in the background. It turned out to be a 1980 Peugeot tandem. There was no mention of a bike anywhere in the ad text.

I already have several little piles of mostly junk around.
I have successfully used the ISO trading thread , lots of those missing bits in the hands of BF C&Vers. And a chance to lose something I will never need (famous last words). More efficient than ebay and such. Plus = staying off the sales sites usually saves time and certainly money as there is almost always something to buy on those sites.
edit: referencing Pompiere = anyone looking for a tandem can PM me. These things are not easy to relocate elsewhere.

Banned.
I think I see a pair of Campy derailleur pulleys - those would be a cool score.

I was going to bid on it for the Ballila toe clips, the spindle and the stem.

I received the box with a large hole in the side, but everything appears to be there. What I was hoping was the FD near the (Campy 9spd) chain to be a Mavic, instead it's an Ofmega Master. The 105 triple FD is servicable, as well as being a braze-on with adaptor. The spindle is a nice, but slightly pitted Shimano. Again, should still be usable. The front axle and cones look good, not sure if Normandy or something else yet. The stem is a 120 and missing the clamp bolt. The Litening bb is marked Italian and spins nice however will require some work to remove the cups. Brev Campagnolo 53t chainring is ok.
shape and color of the dogbone got me thinking it was something else.
?
80s MTB or touring triple spindle,
3ttt 120mm stem has some nicks, but looks intact.

Most are trash heaps. Every so often something interesting as a grab bag comes up.
One shop had a cool lot of stuff in bunches, but then realized how cheap I bought them and bumped prices to a level it was not fun. I haven't seen their lots since.

And to think this kind of stuff can be found in the Box O' Crap for the cost of postage and taking the same kind of pictures when you have take what you want from the box. I guess the allure of the box is not quite as great as the E-Bay site. Har! MH
