1985 Cannondale SM500 question?
would a 1985 cannondale sm500 have a 1" steer tube? does anybody know the fork specs? someone has one listed for sale and was thinking of buying it for the fork if the fork has the right specs. unfortunately it is 200 miles away and the seller is not sure and it is in a storage unit. thanks

The issue would be the length of the steerer tube for you.

The specs aren’t notes for steerer but it looks like 1” to me.

It's a 1" for sure. If you're just buying for the fork, I'd buy the frame off you if it's in the 54 / 56 range, and it's not totally dented up. I don't care about the paint.
(Edit) Ah, forget it, wrong frame. I'm looking for a road frame.
