oooopps.
i should not have removed theae levers from the loops.
now two little washers have come loose.
how in goodness name can i get them back in place?

Put mounting bolt through round washer and then through fixing washer.
Use forcceps, tweezers or small needlenose pliers to maneuver them back into place.
There’s a diagram on line if you need to see how the parts go together.

I cannot extract the mounting bolt.
at least not without disassmbling the lever (which I fear would lead me into another pile of trouble, with the little recoil spring)
Its head is bigger than the gap when the lever is fully engaged.
Hmmm, but wait. that exploded view schematic seems to show that the top of the body can be removed
this could be the answer.
(as long as I am careful and don't wreck the near pristine hood covers)

It should work as is, to make it easier I would take the band clamp off, put it in the loose lever body, place washers on Allen bolt, attach bolt to clamp.

If it’s the stock bolt, it WILL come out, just takes some manipulation. Again, tweezers help.
You may be able to get the two washers on the bolt without removing it from the lever body. Again, tweezers help.
