Aside from the water bottle looking like a bottle of dish detergent, I'm not seeing too much ugly in this. I see that some of the choices are more practical than esthetic. I'm guessing those are reflective sidewalls.
Then again, the tread is tittled ugliest bike you own, so I get it, this is the ugliest bike in the shed. Not too shabby.
By the way, I like the "no graphics" look. Plain and simple is good.

Your right, that Campy bottle with blue Gatorade, does look like a bottle of dawn. The reflective sidewalls are since gone, I really don’t ride at night, and those Paselas weren’t very good.
The only reason the frame is clean is, after 37 yrs, the cheap Schwinn decals put on with no clear coat literally fell off. Bike gets ridden quite a bit, but as you put it, “ugliest bike in the shed”. Actually, this time of year, ugliest bike in the basement.

Agreed, and if I use green Gatorade it looks like an antifreeze recovery bottle. I really like using that old Campy water bottle though, I bought a dozen of those suckers back in the 80s, only on my third one, they last a long time.

My 1973 Motobecane Grand Record has the classic speckled paint that some old Motobecanes develop over time. Mine has it pretty bad but what the heck the paint is doing its job and I find the bike beautiful. I certainly never worry about taking this bike off road as I have it set up as a rough road/gravel bike.
