howdy - yes. I'm not sure how I get a 31.8mm clamp. Either in a box of stuff from a friend, or maybe from an aluminum bike, I guess. It's been in the parts bin for quite a while.
Let me know if you can put it back into use! Thanks.

I was thinking the 6401 was the clamp and the 6400 was the braze-on...oops. Sorry I can’t help you there.

ISO NDS "Made in Italy" crank arm

Gipiemme arm on it’s way thanks to madhonk. 😃
Hi folks,

I’m looking for an Italian made NDS 170mm crank arm with 9/16 pedal threads. Doesn’t need to be anything special. A couple of years ago, I was building up a 70s English Tourer and got a very nice Gipiemme triple DS arm & rings for it at a bargain price. I’m currently using a “Plain Jane” arm that’s not even close to matching.

While going thru the bins to set up winter projects, I thought it would be nice to have at least an Italian made NDS on that bike. So, although a Gipiemme arm would be nice, I’d settle for a Campagnolo Gran Sport, Galli, etc.

The only Italian part that I have to trade is a Gran Sport front derailleur in decent shape. But I have lots of shifters, derailleurs, stems & 7 speed cassettes mostly mid-level.

Thanks and regards,

Van

Anyone got an extra 32 hole Panasonic Dyna hub?

I'm looking for one or two cheap 32 spoke Dynamo hubs. I was hoping some one here may have extras from when Soma was blowing out Dyna hubs. I have one extra 36 hole Dyna hub and loads of bike junk to offer in trade. Or cash. Thanks, Woody

I am currently searching for a set of silver drops and possibly a quill stem for my 1992 Bridgestone RB2 build. I've got just about everything covered for a period correct(ish) look, but I don't have any sliver bars.

I've got a few things available for trade (moustache bars, red-ano mountain bike bars, spds, barcon shifters, old muddy fox saddle, shimano mf-z012 6 speed freewheel - 14-28)

What specific stem/bar combo are you looking for? What width? Clamp area size? Brand?

I have nothing specific in mind... like really. I don't want to go with a threadless stem (I have a few already) as it's an older threaded headset. The frame is purple, and not even in my possession at the moment! :-)

** edit... the Blaze brakes are probably not staying as I have a set of nos RX100 brakes & levers that I'm probably going with.

Two completely separate ISO's here.

First, C&V faire: ISO a 26" Trygg dual leg kickstand. Intact and not bent, doesn't have to be NOS.

Second: I got myself involved in another donation of retired share bikes again (not C&V), this time with [retracted]. For better or worse though, there was a miscommunication from HQ when these were sent to [retracted]. - and that meant 50 or so GenZe E222 framesets arrived w/o any wheels or handlebars.

I'm basically scrambling to find these parts to turn these GenZe's into suitable pedal-only bikes within a reasonable amount of time. Don't want to have them languish and eventually get scrapped if I can't get my act together - and if there's any group on BF that might have the bits (yes, even non-C&V bits) that'll make this happen...well, I know I'm in the right place to ask.

This is what I'm after:
  • Drum brake or Shimano roller brake front hubs. Preferably wheels, but I know I can't cover shipping of each individual one, so hubs it is (and begging for galvanized spokes).
  • 142mm rear disc hubs. Basically 135mm with enough threads to accommodate the extra OLN spacing - these used to have rear motors, so weird spacing is just the soup of the day.
  • Half-decent cassettes (compatible shifters a plus).
  • 31.8mm handlebars, or a fistful of 25.4-to-31.8mm spacers, as I have a lot of 25.4 flat riser bars kicking about.
I'll have to check, but they'll probably be A-OK with me trading a frameset or two in exchange for any of these parts, and I can most definitely check with them.

I've already thrown one together with a Wal-Mart wheelset (no brakes!) and it's a good sturdy build; definitely worth getting these put back together. Wish they could be IGH'ed easily, but that's a different story.

EDIT: Donation fell through.

Appreciate any and all help that you fellows can provide.

-Kurt

There's a small city adjacent to this unincorporated area that nails the tree canopy look. They do it with oaks though, so their sidewalks and roads are constantly cracking and being pushed up.

Back in the 1940's, there were no hedges at all. You could look down the block all the way to the end. The hedges started popping up because it turned into a traffic sewer about 30 years ago. Miami-Dade has done nothing to discourage cut-through traffic through aggressive traffic calming (speed bumps won't get resident traction, and M-D won't consider speed tables, chicanes, or partial closures within the area that only allow bike/ped traffic through and makes cut-throughs difficult), and this is made worse due to an FDOT stroad a block and a half to the east that's feeding it (visible at the end of the street on the theoretical horizon line, where the white fence is).

When the house on the left was being renovated 15 years ago, someone waiting on a service truck got pissed off and drove through the front yard to go through. It's too bad someone hadn't spilled a box of nails before that happened.

Update - looks like I might just have this covered. Thanks machinist42 and Schreck83 ! This place never ceases to amaze...

Need one of these guys if anyone has an extra or has it sitting around and wondering what it is! May end up trying to hacksaw my way to the same thing but would prefer the real deal. Have old presidents and bike parts for trade - just let me know what you're looking for.

Noticed this CL listing yesterday, and still haven't posted it to the "Are you looking for these droids..." thread. I know it's not near you, but perhaps you can persuade the seller to box and ship them to you?

We do have BF members in Raleigh who might facilitate? I can't Because Too Far and Impending Doom.

Good Luck!

Very helpful, thanks! Spent the first decade of my life a little ways east in Greenville, NC.

I messaged them, might as well ask (Update: Seller doesn't want to ship). If anyone in the Raleigh area sees this and is ready and willing... shoot me a message. More tools than I need as many would be duplicates, but at the same time I love tools!

Some great stuff there. I use my Bicycle Research freewheel tool and Kingsbridge(?) BB tool all the time. Looks like a Park TA-compatible crank puller as well (CCP-1).

Hi all, I hope this is ok to post as it's not C&V, but I've got a Brooks Cambium C17 Carved saddle I'm hoping to trade for a C15 Carved. The saddle is as new, in box, only ridden on a few test rides. If there's a more fitting forum for this post let me know. Thanks!

- Hi Mike - there's a "saddle swap" sticky (better than a sticky saddle swap.... but I digress.). You might try there.
Since your looking to swap Brooks, I can't imagine any C&V folks complaining.
cheers.

In the above photo, what is the tool in the top center, right beside the two third hand tools?

Ps you did well to even get a reply from the seller as I emailed him within 10 minutes of ad appearing and then again later and no replies.
