Repurposing wheels - 2 scenarios

Two different wheelsets, two different conundrums, so I'm looking for two respective solutions...just consolidating into a single thread:

Scenario #1:
- I have a set of DT Swiss wheels (handbuilt by Joe Young) with DT 240S hubs, built for 11-speed Ultegra. I would like to use these wheels with an 11-speed Campy-equipped bike. Do I absolutely need to get a new Campy-compatible freehub body and Campy cassette...or can a circa-2015 Campy Record RD be tweaked to work with Shimano/SRAM 11-speed cassettes? (The only time I ever tried putting my 11-speed Shimano wheels/cassette on the Campy bike it shifted like crap, so I didn't bother spending any more time on it. But that was quite a few years ago.)

Scenario #2:
- I have a set of through-axle wheels (handbuilt by Carl Strong) with Chris King R45 hubs, built for 11-speed Ultegra. I would like to use these wheels with a 12-speed Ultegra-equipped bike. What do I need to do to convert the wheels from 11- to 12-speed? (Presumably re-dish them? Do I also need a new freehub body? Is there some annoying factoid that makes this conversion impossible or not cost-effective?)

Thanks.

For your Scenario 2.

No experience w/Campy

From what I understand, the 12 speed Shimano road cassettes will fit on a Shimano brand wheelset speced for 11 speed. The inner part of the cassette overhangs the freehub body. See their compatibility drawing.
As for other manufacturers' wheel/hub, don't know for sure. Will depend on clearance to spokes.

For scenario 1 you can use a shimano 11 speed cassette with campy 11 speed deraillers and shifters (and vice versa) 11 speed spacing is same shimano/campy/Sram

the freehubs and cassettes are not interchangable

Well dang, that may make fitting a spoke protector more difficult. (Listen, I pulled those off all my bikes, not fashionable, then on one of my cheaper bikes, folder with short chainstays, chain dropped between large cog and spokes, tore up a couple spokes, both eventually broke there. Promptly put spoke protector back on, but nice tasteful clear plastic one, just larger than the low cog. I restored a Litespeed titanium road bike for a friend, has composite spokes, I put a protector on it immediately, chain would really trash those.)
