Beauty Cinelli Frame identification - since the decals display LOOSER

Hi guys,

I managed to get this frame, it looks quite nice to me even if the paint isn't in the greatest shape. I never heard of LOOSER and i can't find any info about the tubing - weights 1.6kg just the frame which is nice

Any help is appreciated

I've never heard of a "Looser" frame before but it looks like a winner to me.

Sorry - I've been of no help to you.

That is a nice frame, there's a rasta theme going on and with all that chrome it makes you feel like jammin'.

Let's have a look at it! Make some detail pics of the dropouts, fork, front lugs, and where the cables go in and out of the frame. Measure what size seatpost fits and check out if there are any stamps on the steerer tube (e.g. 531 or Columbus). Also let us know where you're from, where you got it and if you know anything about what road the frame travelled before it landed in your lap...

I personally don't think Looser was a framebuilder or manufacturer, but maybe some genius (there are a couple on C&V ) can figure this one out if you provide the pics and info. Looking forward to it!

I think those look like letter stickers that someone applied to the frame. Looks like a nice frame though. The Cinelli bottom bracket is only a supplied part, it does not make it a Cinelli frame.

Hey, that's my old bike! Yup - I got rid of it once I decided to take a leaf out of Charlie Sheen's book and became a WINNER

In all seriousness, nice frame!

Actually, he did. It's called "A Piece of my Mind" - not like he could afford to give much of what's left of it away

I will make better photos and measure all and let you have them For me it was enough to see it live in order to buy it (even if i don't know for now about the tubing steel)

I saw the Cinelli BB Shell (or assumed it's a Cinelli frame) i measured it's weight and was 1.6Kilos and for the rest of it's history here we all are to inspect and solve this mystery

Cinelli sold those cast BB shells to framebuilders all over the world. Figuring out who built the frame is going to be a challenge.

I'd guess it's the name of the rider/previous owner, and possibly Dutch.
The frame looks like it could be from one of the big Italian Contract-builders such as Billoti.
The Cinelli BB shell is an SCM (investment cast) unit so preceded the CCM version (where Cinelli rotated the chain stay socket tangs by 90°)

"Looser" does sound like it might be a Dutch name.

I managed to take some photos after i unmounted the fork. What i saw is that the fork isn't original it's made of ALU not chrome, but my surprise was to see the frames dropouts marked with Campagnolo - chrome is like 100% nice and shiny - very light frame - i just love the cinelli BB Shell how cool it is welded there
here are the photos

I've never heard of anyone called Looser in the Netherlands. Have seen some rasta-coloured bikes though.

He had smoked a huge spliff, and was wishing his shorts weren't so tight.

interesting that in addition to the TT internal cable routing it also has internal cable routing through the chain stay. It has a few details that are out-of-the usual, for instance how the stay ends are rounded (but not out-of-the-box domed ends) and the pinch ears on the seat lug don't look like they are either for a Campy bolt or a trad external nut/bolt...is it "Dutch" style (threaded in the LH ear)?
I don't know enough about the Dutch (or Flemish) language to make good guesses, but there was something about "Loos" that rang that bell...I still get some "Benelux" hints from the frame, maybe made in Italy for that market.
