Switching from Mountain Bike to Road tires

Yep- 26", as stated earlier. Wish I lived up there in NC!! Miss snow... real mountains, real trees!
Now my remaining mod I'm considering is the fork... I'm trying to find a lighter replacement for the stock Rock Shox Judy C forks. Not having a lot of luck, a couple of possible candidates. Since 700 tires are the norm for road bikes and 26" for MTB's, it cuts way down on lightweight choices.

Thanks, No1mad- that's one of the forks like I'm finding. Surlybikes have a couple of possibilities, but other than that, I've not been able to find much. The Nashbar is similar to the Surly forks.
