Was this a case of
having the Mavic bits
and needing to find the right frame for them?

Sorry for not noticing your question earlier! A bit of both! I had most of the Mavic parts on the shelf and I also believe this frame needs something more special than C-record (I do understand that that last bit might not sound sane to some...)


Some weeks ago an opportunity arose on French ebay. These Gelianos sometimes had painted equipment to match the frame paint job. There was a buy it now option at around the equivalent of 100 USD - and I hit the button. The parts are unused but shopworn.

I do not plan to use these parts, as I am happy with the build and the parts on the bike are of higher quality, but I could not resist having the painted parts too. I might put on the pedals for show though.
