He can't be a very good bank robber if all he can afford is a bicycle.
Was the white bike geared or not?
A smart bank robber would have ridden a fixie and not have been concerned about the color as long as it wasn't some sort of Miami vice color scheme.

Are getaway bikes like getaway cars where thieves use stolen ones to evade detection? Did he ride to a transfer location and switch to another bike he had staged there?

In Albuquerque? It's a wonder he didn't come out and find his bike had been stolen.

Did he have a previous wipeout on a bike, or is it just "meth mouth" that left him toothless?

If he cycles into a dealership and buys a new car with cash, that's going to be a dead giveaway.
Do bike shops sell to people with cash (not checks)?

He needed the money to buy the obscenely priced chain lube that "real cyclist" say you need to use rather than plain old motor oil.

Actually, what would make a better getaway vehicle?
- Faster than being on foot
- Not restricted to roads like cars are
- Cops are usually restricted to either roads (car) or chasing by foot
- Easier to ditch the bike discreetely
- Lot better financial if something goes wrong, if it's confiscated, if it's left behind, no towing fees, etc.
- Don't have to deal with stealing a license plate each time you commit the crime
What really great about it is...wait a sec, someone's knocking at my door and yelling "fbi", I'd better go check it...
