TIL that for all the apparent flaws of wrist-based HRV measurement, when Garmin says mine is "unbalanced" I'm going to wake up early with junk sleep.

Better than 5/6, anyway. This is my average, though I actually get it in 4 LESS often than 3 or 5.

/under-recovering
I was doing fine until the trip to Boulder, then after the first couple of days I wound up waking early (by hours) and having trouble getting back to sleep. It started getting better back here, but last couple days it happened again, and HRV was back in the red (likely due to stress and hammering the training again starting Monday). Hopefully will resolve with just a short easy swim today and recovering some, then getting back righted.
Also, the Garmin elevation acclimation numbers are crap; it's based purely on time. AG and I had the exact same throughout the trip, down to the foot. It doesn't look at how much your performance is impacted compared to your baseline, it doesn't evaluate how much training you've done at altitude, it just runs a scale based on length of time, which is wildly different per person.
Maybe I'm just a nerd, but it's interesting to see which Garmin numbers mean something and which don't.

It seemed odd that the air filter would need to be cleaned so soon after a shop tune-up. But it was starting and running so poorly that I popped the cover off this morning. And found the element was installed upside down. Took care of that and it started right up, but bogged down at the top end. So I went on YouTube to learn about that, and now not only is it running well, but also I know how to keep it running well.

Had a good ride, but I did take a spill and tear both my bibs and jersey while collecting some road rash.
