Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This thread is more for posting deals that other people might want to take advantage of than for bragging about deals you got (they do look really sweet though).

There were several for past few months from them. I would keep an eye out or contact them.

Here are Assaults from same seller.

I'd like to point out that from 5/18 to 5/28 is the REI quarterly sale. If you are a member you get 20% off one full priced item. But they have other stuff on sale for non-members. I'll point out some of the stuff I noticed on sale:

20% off Feedback Sports work stands
25% off Shimano pedals
25% off Cygolite
25% off Light and Motion
25% off Pearl Izumi
....

Check it out! And get a membership! It's still $20 for a lifetime membership!

Good deal I suppose, but even at those prices I can hardly justify spending that much on a wheelset. I guess I am cheap.

When the MSRP of a wheelset approaches the cost of a decent aluminum road bike, I am out.

So why even comment if it's not in the budget for you? Someone in the market for Assaults is typically going to be happy at $1200, so at $800 they're clearly a hot deal, which is the topic of the thread. The last thing this thread needs is people reluctant to share stupidly good deals because some others might feel the need to impose their values on them.

No, not at all. I am saying and acknowledging it is a good deal. It's just not for me.

I think it is fine on the other hand to discuss the products that the deals are related to in this thread.

I'm keeping my eye out for a sale/coupon on Enve 3.4 rim-brake tubeless clinchers. Sales on Enves are rare, so may have to wait till Thanksgiving but if anyone sees something....

Ebay has lately been giving out "store"-wide coupons of 15% and 20% on certain days. I would be shocked if they didn't give a discount on Memorial Day next Monday, since that is a big sale day. (They already have a Memorial Day Sale at the moment but only on select items).

I would see if those wheels are available from Ebay from a seller you like / trust, and be ready to pull the trigger when the sale happens this weekend. Considering the amount of sellers specializing in bike stuff on Ebay, these are great deals.

There's a 15% off coupon right now through 5/25. You'll need to check to see that it covers the particular items you're interested in.

GVH Bikes is closing out their entire inventory. I bought my build kit from him back in 2003. He had an amazing stock of great frames back then. Mostly a varied stock little known classic frames, 1/2 are steel with 1" head tubes (Forks included). Classic bikes near half price. Their inventory of parts is an odd assortment of components. How about a Pinarello Carbon 31.0mm 250 seat post for $20 sound?

Came across this seller (a LBS) seemingly getting rid of lots of 2017 Focus bike framesets, Paralane, Cayo, etc. You'll have to hunt around but for anyone looking to build up a bike, seems like a decent option:

Another TwinSix deal - looks like they're starting up their summer "Hump Day" sales again. Every Wed, different stuff will be on sale. Today is a selection of men's and women's jerseys. Check back on the site each Wed or follow them on social media for updates. Some days are 'meh,' but others are pretty good; I made a few purchases last year that I was happy with.

Those TwinSix jerseys look cool. No need for more jerseys (but in desperate need for shorts), but I'll try to remember to look at the sales on Wednesday. How is the fit? I have a hard time finding good fitting clothes since the good stuff is expensive. 6'1" and 160 pounds, so club fit will not do.

They have some sizing guidelines, but they're definitely American-sized. I'm ~6', ~200lbs with large-ish legs and the L fits nicely. I would think that the M would be your best bet unless you have a long torso, in which case the straps might dig in a bit.

Twin Six is closer to Voler club fit, at least for the regular line jerseys, not sure about their Standard jersey fit.
