The PINK MACHINE!!!

https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage/1268891-free-bike.html#post22829694

I gave the bike away and the person that I gave it to has been building it up as the PINK MACHINE.

What's the deal with bikeforums lately? Everybody has been posting such serious things. I'm going to have to bump my Herse thread just to get some levity in here.

We are a serious bunch don’tcha know?

I recently saw a Copake auction where a Herse went for about 2.5G’s. Have you any idea how many Huffy’s that could buy?

I mean, considering most are fee, and all.

I confess to being corrupted due to my participation in a FB Group with Bike builders - who quite seriously show off bikes with zero ground clearance, forks that place the front wheel so far in front of the bike that it probably couldn't make a left turn in most cities, and which require spine removal to contact pedals, seat and bars simultaneously.

It had been sitting in my friend's garage for a while so I decided to do some work on it for him.

Is do you mean before Pacific Cycle bought the brand? If so, then yes I believe. I don't know exactly what you are saying if it's not that but it was made in the 1980s. I got it for free originally because I am into collecting these vintage American drop bar road bikes with clamped in dropouts, brazed construction, and one piece cranks. I got rid of it because it was far too small for me and it wasn't worth the money fixing it up. I gave it to my friend for free and he did this stuff to it.

Bruh… That chainwheel is way to small.

In all seriousness though. I also like Ashtabula cranks. And simple bikes.

It is the department store road bikes like that. They are always slow but smooth and comfortable, but still you feel like you are going fast as it is a road bike.
