Hmmm, I can't remember exactly, but I think a 70s Raleigh Supercourse will have a 26.4mm seatpost sizing...would be a pretty slick upgrade for one.

A 26.4 seatpost will work for many French (metric) upper end bikes with Reynolds 531 tubing (and perhaps other types of tubing).
