I didn't scroll down that far, but the parts and frame would still be worth if that size is what you are looking for.

I like how the ad reads that the dropout still works.....for what? At some point steel with any lineage can be abused to the point it's as worthless as any other POS old bike, right?

Clean Shwinn Road Bike
I asked the seller if he still has the original saddle and he says he still has EVERYTHING that came with it originally; must be the original owner. Lord help me I just might do it. Thankfully it seems to have slipped under the radar because of his bad posting so it's still there and I imagine I'm probably the only one interested. Should I wait till the end of the weekend and see if i can get it for less? 225, maybe? He doesn't say the price is firm.

Local pick-up to Madison: $25 Giant Rincon at Goodwill. Obviously no cachet here, but I think these frames make for good utility-commuter-urban-beaters.

I found a '86 Bianchi for $495 https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/bik/1683979643.html

I think this may be about an inch to tall for me, is it worth $495, because it wouldn't hurt to check it out. I'm not super thrilled with the color but it looks nice.

Basso vintage mid-80s - $150 (Roswell)

Date: 2010-04-09, 2:02PM EDT
Reply to: sale-ps7vc-1684164314@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

I've had this Basso since the late 80s when I was doing triathlons. I bought it used from a friend who was a cat 4 criterium rider. He bought it new and raced it for 2 or 3 years and then had "trade up" to imrpove his riding. It is in great shape: in the mid-90s I had it disassembled, media blasted and repainted (original colors: red and white). The only decal I could not replace was the little Columbus SLX/SPX tubing "blue bird". The equipment is Campy - NR ,SR, Athena kind of all looks the same to me after all of these years. I think it is either NR or SR - if it's SR then the price is a steal and if it is NR then it's good. I built some Campy wheels and hubs and rode it with sew ups when I rode it in the late 80s and early 90s. It hasn't been on a road since it was painted - it never had any bad crashes that damaged anything other than the rider. I'll post some pictures tonight or tomorrow morning. I also need to measure the center of the crank to the seat tube top - but I'm 5'8" with a 30" inseam and the top tube was a bit long for me - I just liked the feel and handling enough to tolerate the size. I would say 5'10" - 6'2" would be comfortable riding it. I'm cleaning out my garage in order to down size and it's time has come. The price is firm. Call me on my cell removed. Greg.

I'm not very knowledgible about the Miyata hierarchy or their values, but if that is a deal for a tall person, here is a deal for a short person:

Everything has been adjusted to work as new. Wheels have been trued. The seat is comfy but has seen better days as seen in the picture. Email or call at

Hey Jim. He doesn't try to hide anything here. I'm pretty sure that's not a stock fork. Either way it should be replaced. Let's say this dropped in your lap, maybe someone even paid you to haul it off. What would you sell this as in parts? $50? I'd say the campy stuff left on there was stock. the frame, by itself, in a medium size, should be worth $50+? Cheap wheels? $20 for a pair? Usable Cinelli bars. If you didn't have a few connections to swap, what would you do to replace these items? Ebay? I'll admit, I wouldn't pay that. But it doesn't fit me and I don't need another bike

Reply to: sale-vt2kw-1684479729@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Find this incredible collection of partial bicycles, pieces of scooters, some antique English frames and fenders. Some pretty good tires, cables, brakes, shifters. etc. Plenty of bicycle junk. REAL PIG OF A TREK. Great for those who love to tinker. Great pieces of bicycle history included. Great
for those who may want to put something together for someone needing the most basic of transportation. IT IS ALL FREE.

Rear of Skol Sport Shop, 20-22-24 Central Street, Ipswich, Ma. 01938.1912. ENTER FROM MARKET STREET OR HAMMATT STREET. YOU WILL SEE THE PILE
OUTSIDE AT THE REAR OF OUR BUILDING. HURRY, THIS STUFF IS HEADED
TO A LANDFILL.

CAUTION: THE OLD, OLD BLACK TIRES ARE NOT A GOOD FIND. THEY WILL LIKELY CRACK IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME., EXPERIENCE IS STILL GOOD FOR
SOMETHING !

1976 Eisentraut/Camapnolo Record Road Bike - $895 (Central Denver)

1976 Eisentraut/Campagnolo Road Bike
I have for sale a 1976 Albert Eisentraut Limited Road Bike. This bicycle was built by Albert Eisentraut and Bruce Gordon using a mix of Columbus and Ishiwata tubing. It is equipped with Campagnolo Nuovo Record group of the same era. The bicycle is on the large side measuring 60 cm. from bottom bracket to the top of the top tube.

This is a complete bicycle and in near mint codition with some paint chipped from the tubing, but no damage to the tubes themselves. Please feel free to email me with any questions concerning the bicycle, its components, etc.

I've been down this exact road many times. You'd be surprised at how little some bikes are realy worth. 'Campy' by no means is the road to a golden bank account. Any of the lower end parts like the ones on the bike in question are essentialy worthless if they have rust. I suppose you could nickle and dime it to death and make some money. As a keeper, you will always have more money in bike like that than it will ever be worth.

Looks smaller than 59cm to me:

SWEEEEET, 59cm Benotto road bike!!! - $175 (appleton)

Date: 2010-04-09, 9:17PM CDT
Reply to: sale-gxr7b-1684913825@craigslist.org

SPRING IS HERE!!!!!! Up for sale is a very lightweight early 80's, 59cm, Italian BENOTTO, 12-Speed road in nice condition. It is in nice condition w/brand new bar tape and brand new 27" wheels and tires . It has a nice mix of "arabesque" Shimano 600, Campy and newer parts. This Benotto's's paint is really nice and is red. There are small scratches here and there on the bike. There is some surface rust on some of the bolts and the fork is a bit rusty. This bike rides pretty nice but, could probably use a tune-up. Call to take this bike for a spin or to purchase. Perfect for a taller rider. J 920-277-2361

SPECS:

COLOR- Red

FRAME- Cromoly BENOTTO

FORKS- Cromoly BENOTTO

STEM- Nitto

BARS- Nitto

CRANKS- SHIMANO "600/Ultegra"

FRONT DERAILLUER- Shimano "600/Ultegra"

REAR DERAILLUER- Campy / Campagnolo

SHIFTERs- Shimano "600/Ultegra"

BRAKES- Shimano "600/Ultegra"

BRAKE LEVERS- Aero ShimanoSLR

WHEELS- New, Straight , Weinmann "RM19"

SEATPOST - alloy

SEAT- Kevlar SPECIALIZED "Rev"

HEADSET- Tange-Seiki

PEDALS- WTB SPD Clipless (A bit rusty but, work)

[it wouldn't be Craig's List without this bit - jdt]

This bike has horizontal drop-outs and is perfect as-is or would make a beautiful fixie/single-speed conversion.
