I've never seen any being used in the wild. I think I've only seen one set in a shop somewhere. Searches only return threads about vintage pedals.

Does anyone use them?

What's the word on them?

I use them on my primary road bike. Had them for a year and a half now. The reason I went with Campy pedals is that all my other drivetrain components were Campy (Eurus wheels and Chorus 11), so why not complete it with Campy pedals?

They work fine, but I don't like their tendency to squeak. Let's just say unless grease is regularly used, they are annoying as all get-out. Park PolyLube works the best of what I've tried (Tri-Flow, Super Lube, and another teflon-based lube).

When I asked my LBS who sold me the pedals about the squeaking, he said, "Oh, yeah ... Campy pedals are bad about squeaking." Wish he had told me about that before the purchase. Maybe he sells more PolyLube that way, though.

The only other road pedals I've used thus far have been Shimano 105's. And I think I prefer them to the Campy's. Bigger cleat surface area and no squeaking.

my dad has used pro-fit plus pedals since release. he speaks well of them but i have not used them.

i do own a pair now (used with a bike from him) but have no cleats, both my bikes have a set of keos, and i own one pair of shoes. someday i plan on trying them.

Probably true. But if you get Campy pedals, you too can be one of the few, one of the proud, one of ... the squeakers.

In actuality, they've been pretty good except for the squeaking. Not done anything to them in 6K+ miles.

I used Campy Chorus (Pro-Fit) for a few months, ended up going back to Looks because, for me anyway, getting clipped in is a bit easier with the Looks.

I have a set of Record and Centaur ProFit Plus and they work well enough. Probably need to regrease/rebuild them soon to get rid of *some* minor squeaking. I like them because the spindle has a place for a pedal magnet so I don't have to mount yet another doo-dad for cadence, they are rebuildable, The cleat system wears well and is easy to maintain. I wish someone made covers for the cleats however.

I used them a couple years, finish isn't as durable as Shimano. Shimano also has a wider platform and feels a little better to me.

I ride only with Record Pro-Fits on my road bike and really love them. Light, nice cleat platform, and they're really easy to service if you even get to that point.

I only notice squeaking when it rains and the rubber part of the metal cleat rubs on the contact plate of the pedal. Never heard them squeak otherwise.

I used them before. I don't think they are any better than the Shimano Ultegra model really. They were nice and worked well. Price wasn't bad either. Similar cleat as Shimano.

The only person I have seen who consistently runs them is a shop owner I know and it's mainly just because he still thinks Campy is the shiz. He's been known to ignore reality before.

i'm curious to try a pair as well. all of my bikes run campy now, and the pedals would be a nice touch, running multiple cleat systems is what's holding me back from trying them though, i like that all of my bikes can be ridden with the same shoes, except the fixed gear and commuter bikes.

I use them on my tandem and at times they will squeek. Just enough to bother you. I wish them make cleat covers.
I use Zeros with my single bike. Zeros are easier to engage [because you can clip in both sides] but with the right technique, the Campy's are not bad.

I have a pair of Chorus Pro Fit Plus's but have yet to use them. I need to get the cleats and hooks and see what they are all about. They are a little pricey. Sucks that they are not Look compatible.

i would consider trading two sets of look keo classics (both in good condition) for one set of chorus or record pedals in equal condition.

Yeah, really the most cost-prohibitive part about the Pro-Fit system is the initial buy into the hooks. But, you don't need to replace those that often.

I rode them for two years (primarily to have that finishing touch of Campy) and in that time only saw one other person riding these pedals. I never had any major problems with them and they were a huge improvement as they were the first three hole system I had used.
