Hello All
New to the forum, long time cyclist. I started off my road bike journey in 1975 with a Motobecane Grand Record. Rode it recreationally for about 15 years. Mothballed it in the mid 90s after acquiring a Specialized Allez with chrome moly frame and lower end Campy components. Not a lot of miles on the Allez because ‘life happened’. Recently sold the Allez in preparation for a move from Pennsylvania where I lived for several decades to southwest Florida. Once in Florida I acquired a super lightweight 2016 Kestrel Legend SL with upgraded Zipp carbon wheels, and carbon Oval Concepts seat post and handlebars. My gosh, what a fantastically fast ride this new bike is! All flatlands where I live (hills are the overpasses) and so many great riding days with all the sunny days available now. I look forward to participating and learning on this forum!

Welcome, from Wisconsin. Do you still have the Motobecane? There is currently a steel frame Renaissance going on.

thanks for the welcome! Yes, the ‘75 Motobecane is still with me. The Kestrel is getting all the ride time, so I’m thinking this would be a good time to completely disassemble, clean, and re-grease the Motobecane.
