New to bikes, looking for suggestions!
Hi everyone! New here and new to bikes, hoping to start a new hobby. Located in central tx. I live on fb marketplace, so if anyone has any suggestions on brands to look out for please let me know! I have little knowledge about bikes but looking to ride on a jogging/bike trail, occasionally on street but for the most part sidewalk. Any suggestions on what type of bike to get? Thanks!!! Hope everyone has a great and blessed day.

Go to your local bike shops and take test rides on the bikes they have in stock. No reason to get sold on a bike that has to be shipped to you and assembled. Craigslist is a good place to find used bikes and most produced in the past 20 years are excellent.

I actually found a Trek Dual Sport 1 Hybrid on marketplace for $120. Super happy with it so far. If you have any suggestions on what and how I can upgrade it, I'm all ears!

956user, congratulations on your new hobby and bike! You’re in for a lot of happy years. Riding has been a source of great enjoyment for me. Bought my wife’s Terratrike on marketplace and got a great deal. I’m a little north of you in Southern Oklahoma. Have a blessed evening!
