As the winter hits it will move throughout the forums with people trolling to occupy the time they don't have on bikes. Once spring hits, for the most part, it all reverts back

Without their work, this place would become a den that posters would not return to. I've seen a couple of boards that were destroyed due to a few as#$&les that stirred things up.

Well, I've been hanging out in forums since back when usenet was actually a useful tool to communicate with. Hanging in most forums, especially ones where people are engaged in some competive activity takes a bit of a thick skin at times. I've got 5 basic rules for Forums that keep things in perspective.
1. Just because a person says you're an idiot doesn't make you an idiot.
2. If the entire forum says you're an idiot, then you might be one.
3. There is plenty of free advice, the expensive part is learning how to filter it.
4. You and I can disagree with out being disagreeable, but it's more entertaining when two other people disagree and are disagreeable about it.
5. Arguments supported with facts and logic carries far more weight than capital letters and bombast.
FWIW, I have found a lot of people here that I'm sure I'd enjoy meeting in person, a few that, on occasion, come across as abrupt but knowledgeable, and a few that I'm sure that even Will Rodgers would have a hard time liking.
Steve W.
Who thinks that most people take things WAY too serious.

you'll always get those that want to put folk down, the internet is a very easy method todo so as its impersonal. you get this on every forum to a cutain extent. im a member to site from all over the world, check my location out. i think this site has the least amount of it. you'll soon learn to just ignore it, or get used to the regularlys sense of homour. may thing never take it to heart, just ignore any bad coments and the poster wont bother, there just after the re-action.

Smoothie104 = not A-hole.
You know, does this have anything to do with a GMC Denali road bike and a young person who wrote about his experience in regards to scraping up the cash to get said bike? That seems like just the type of post that might warrant a "guard the little people", Robin Hood-like reaction. Just thinking out loud...

Why did the current reading of this old thread encourage me to subscribe to the forum? Maybe I just learned that I belong (or was it the small triple?). I'm an *******. Oh well . . . it's good to face facts. Now that I've joined, I guess I'll have to work on a more cunning avatar to embody my true character (as if being a "senior member" wasn't an awsome enough responsibility).
