I am looking for some good road routes originating in Arlington, Va, preferably north of 66, and that mostly avoid W&OD, Custis Trail, and Mt. Vernon Trail on weekends. I see pretty good lanes on many streets (Yorktown, Little Falls, George Mason, Williamsburg, Military) but hoping someone with some experience could point out some routes. Does anyone have some good 30-60 mile routes they enjoy?

ETA: maybe this should have gone in the Mid-Atlantic regional section
