I have a frame shop in my basement, all of the jigs & fixtures. I even managed to drag in a 5' x 6' x 4" dead flat granet aligment table. I think it will be sold with the house! At one point it was going to be a profession. I gave it up because of the potential liability problems. I sold about four bikes, and have made several for myself. I even had a frame displayed at Interbike one year.

Here is my Trek 920. I belive it is the 92 model. I have north road bars with bar ends on them. looks strainge but it is A LOT more comfortable than drop bars or aero bars. I also have stem friction shifting.

Here's my Urbanite Tourer I bought from Urbane Cycles in Toronto, with my current touring load on it. So far I've road around the blue mountains with it, then from Sydney to Melbourne and then along the east coast of Tasmania. Been a great bike so far, I hope to do a lot more riding on it soon! Will be starting a Northern NZ trip on it soon.

Nitto noodle bars, Mavic A719's laced to XT hubs with DB spokes, the shimano cantilever brakes and the front and rear racks are my favorite parts of this bike. It's really quite nice.

All right! For all of you who wish to laugh or snicker, here is my Y2K+1 Cannondale T2K. This is actually a staged picture as I only used it to commute this year. Two years ago, however, it carried across Minnesota from the NW corner to the SE corner. That was before I added the "bar-end" thumb shifters, the stereo, and all the hand positions. (Some day: across the continent...)

I take credit for none of the ideas for the "enhancements" on this rig - just the actual set-up. I got 'em all from this forum...

Yes, I realize it's not the lightest thing on two wheels, but since I tip the scales at 125 Kg (275#) or so, what's a couple extra kilograms? (4.4 pounds if you prefer...) No, those aren't welding rods for spokes, but they are 48 spoke tandem wheels that have not even needed trueing in five years...

My bike and my friend's bike on our shakedown ride for our upcoming 11 week patagonia trip. We call his the camel (can you tell why?), but we haven't come up for a name for mine yet.

Here's mine, I haven't actually done any touring with it yet, but I do plan to do some long weekend tours soon, maybe down around Mornington peninsula area, I haven't decided yet. There is probably way too much stuff packed here for a few days of hostel touring, but I'll live and learn!

OK ancient pic from the 80s. I would have to go and re arrange things and put it all back together to do a better pic. I still have and use the bike and the rear panniers.

The wires on the handle bars are from a walki talki that I used to talk to another cyclist on a tour. There are 4 water bottles on the bike and a sharp eye will spot another half gallon of water on the front rack.

Yes, that is a Brooks saddle. Also note the frame pump and the generator just aft of the seat tube.

Completely upgraded drive train, wheels, shifters, and brake levers. Also, added fenders, a brooks, bottle cages, and new bar tape since getting the bike for free about a year ago.
