Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yep, those guys are good. Very very good mechanics that know their stuff. Jeff, the owner is good too, although a bit of a space cadet sometimes. Very knowledgeable though and willing to help/negotiate. Bought one of my bikes from them and had him fit me to it too.

SRAM PC-991 Chain

I let my stock chain go way to long w/o replacing it. I need to stay on top of maintenance better....

I just counted and I think it ended up being like 36 on the big, I could be wrong though.

Moving from 9 speed triple with fsa/sora/tiagra to 10 speed ultegra double.
Got everything on sale at Performance (they're making room for the 6700 stuff).
Being installed this week: 50/34 compact, front and rear derailleurs, shifters, chain, 12/27 cassette, and dura ace BB.
Holding off on the brakes until probably next month or when they're in stock.
Wheels after that, but not certain which, yet.

How much did said upgrade cost you? I'm interested in upgrading from fsa/tiagra/105 to 10 speed ultegra or rival...

$700 + labor (I wasn't about to try to install all that myself). I may have been able to find it cheaper online, but I waited until double points weekend to get it and just couldn't pass up that many points! Anyway, I'm hoping to have it and ride tomorrow night. If not, Friday. I'll post a full report once I ride and let you know how it feels; if it's any lighter; and if I think it was worth it.
