Shimano dura-ace hubs year identification
The hubs are marked T and O the rear, and T A the front.
The spacing is 120mm (as I can measure).
The rear has a 5 speed free wheel. The wheels are 700C, 36 spokes each. Oil port is present.
They might be DA- 7100.
I was on vintage-trek site and I was not able to understand what's the year.
Hope somebody can help

I believe those are first generation. You're right about the date code, it doesn't make sense.
edit: The date codes on Vintage Trek only goes back to 1976. These hubs precede that.

Well, that's first generation Dura Ace, and the "TO" code predates 1976. This thread makes some suggestions, which would put this hub at around 1975 by their reckoning. Dura Ace was introduced in 1973, the 1975 date for these components makes sense - the thread shows Dura Ace components with R and S codes. They also suggest the second letter - O in this case - was for fortnight, which makes sense because there are 26 fortnights a year. So, since O is the 15th letter of the alphabet, let's assume the 15th fortnight of 1975, which puts it in late July/early August - I was getting ready to head off to college.

I checked the other DA parts found on the bike.
The brake calipers are TM and SS;
The rear derailleur is a Crane and not marked, as the brake levers and shifters.
The other components are 600 Arabesque.
The bike is a 1979 Trek 730, I believe.

If it's a '79, the bits are older than the bike!

They didn't mark everything Dura Ace, so the Crane was their top derailleur.
