Middletown MD dirt road ramble: Bike Doctor Grand Fondue- October 28th!
Hey all--
Friends of mine're having a big dirt road ramble on the 28th. Here's the details- with a link to even more details!
Join a bunch of like minded folks who ride road bikes on roads they shouldn't. Big miles, hard climbs, beautiful Frederick country and mountains. Dirt roads. Wine and Communal fondue and a good band afterwards, all at a local winery.
Two Rides: 99.9 miles (with a bail out at 65 if needed) and a 35 mile ride.
Pace: Super casual and or semi fast, depending on which breakaway group you are in.
Difficulty: Not for everyone. Experienced bike handlers.... gravel roads...
Contact: James or Dan
Location: Ride starts at Orchid Cellar winery in Middletown MD
When: 99.9 miler starts, wheels down, at 7am. The 35er starts at 12.
Cost: $15 plus bring a brick of cheese for the fondue (see website for details)
There will be minimal sag support, but if you come into hard times, we'll get you out pretty fast.

Should be a good time-- I've done quite a few of these, and they're fun-- but I wouldn't recommend showing up on 23's- roads can be a bit rough. All in all a great day out-- and a load of good folks goofin' about. C'mon out!
