Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

So my wife wanted to go on a bike ride today

... but it was too damn cold out and the roads are iced over.

I almost posted this in the Jackass thread. I'm a little ashamed of myself.

That's something you don't see everyday. A cruiser on a trainer.

I've got the Mag trainer. I tried the fluid one at the LBS and couldn't justify the extra cost.

She likes to ring the bell every few minutes.

Nah...that's not so bad...a friend of mine has her Breezer Uptown on the trainer, as well.

Now - if you had a unicycle on the trainer - that would be a candidate for the jackass thread. 'course, it would also be a candidate for some mad balancing skills...

You should have let her go, Jim.

You cannot hold your wife back from what she truly wants.
