Hmmm...
A really old Colnago...
But perhaps with a fresh paint job
I've been tinkering on various bikes lately... but this summer, it seems as if I keep turning back to my old Colnago as my primary bike... And I still do like it.
I suppose I need to finish up a couple of bike projects I have in progress including a CF bike... but the old Colnago still holds a part of my heart.
I would, however, like to try out a brand new Specialized Roubaix with most of the bells and whistles (still not convinced I need electronic shifting).

If money was no object ... we'd get the next two categories on our list:

The same bikes I'm riding right now. Just throwing more money at things doesn't necessarily make your experience better.
I'd also keep on wearing my $99 wristwatch, and driving my 16 year-old truck.
When the things you have do their intended tasks perfectly well, and also have aesthetics that you enjoy, what more do you need? How much further can you go?
I'm right where I want to be.

I'll bet half of the people posting flavor-of-the-month bikes, will look back on their choices a year or two from now and say "What was i thinking? That wasn't so great.".

A 3D printer that prints Ti and an artisan that can make stuff for me with it.
A fully custom Ti frame would be nice, too.

Full custom Seven Elium SLX bike. So pretty. But you know, if money was no object, I'd get two.

I don't know much about Rolo but......nice!
For myself, my gut would want to test ride about a zillion bikes first, but off the top of my head, I'd be stuck between two:
Dogma F8
or
Baddest, craziest painted Colnago I could find.
(Wait, or maybe Willier)
(Wait, wait.....or maybe that Spesh McLaren thing)
(head asplodes)

I love the bikes I have and I do not know for sure if I would change them more than I already have planned.
Any chance I could get healthier knees instead of a dream bike????

But, in many senses, my old Colnago is my "Rosebud bike". Except not the one I lost in childhood, but rather the one that I've been riding for a very long time.
Perhaps if I had an uber-light 13 pound bike... things would change. But, as it is, the old bike still gives a nice ride.

Money no object, probably a SuperSix or similar. Even without concern for the price tag I wouldn't see much point in anything more exotic in a standard bicycle.
But what I'd really do with unlimited funds would be to redesign my fairing in carbon fiber, with some wind-tunnel assistance, mount it on a custom built light steel frame, and add a small electric hub motor.
