New member, needs 10 posts to post bike pics!
That sounds like a classified ad...
I tried to enter the classic and vintage clunker challenge and post pics to go along with the entry, but discovered I need ten posts before posting pictures. So hello, I'm David and I ride a 2012 Cannondale Synapse alloy and have a few vintage MTB projects, and now a vintage drop bar project. I have started the drop bar project so I'm no longer just a bike hoarder, lol. I really enjoy tinkering and have on cars for some time, so I thought I'd try my hand at bicycles. Who knew there were so many bike specific tools? Guess that's part of the fun.

Hey David! I too came to this place seeking guidance. I think it's cool we have to say hi to a few foks and such, almost halfway to 10 myself haha

Same as everyone else.
Seems like all of you I ran into the same 10 post problem. I tried to post on C&V only to find the 10 post rule. So here I am. I stopped riding years ago when I turned 16 and got my drivers license. Nine years ago when I turned 60 I started riding again on a Fuji Sun Tourer 10 speed. I had forgotten how much fun bike riding was. I since purchased a new 2011 Trek 2.3 and a used Trek 2011 Madone 5.9 frame. I have built the frame up and really enjoy riding it. The Fuji disappeared from my fathers garage much to my dismay. I have a nice Fuji Absolute that I rescued from the dump and just latched onto a Motobecane Super Touring the other day. The Moto needs a bit of work. Post 1 down 9 more to go.

I will say the 10 post requirement plus the 5 posts per 24 hours cap is a frustrating combination.

I too am abusing the inherent logic of the thread to get to the point I can post broken links or failed imgur uploads! I'm also a terrible photographer so the longer it takes the better it is for you guys.

My story is similar, once I got my drivers license I thought bike riding was gone forever. At 50, I am relearning the joys of riding.

I was a Supermod (did all the subforums) on one of the largest MMA/Fight forums on the interwebz... we had the same rule for the same reason. It's a pain, but it really does eliminate a lot of headache.

It was fun at first, but eventually all the conflict. Pretty much dropped forums all together for years, but since I started biking again, this seemed like a good place to try it again.
