Nice dog ride @Harlan.

This morning I 2x20'd at Fiesta Island around 100% (~285w), or at least it was the last time I tested months back. I felt easy and very doable - maybe I should re-test or give myself 5w in the softwares!

Was supposed to do these sets of sprints with positive power splits (Or negative....whichever it is where they are supposed to be progressively harder). Totally failed. I just can't figure out how to do all of them "All out" but make them each harder as time goes on.

Increase the effort 110% each time until by the end, thanks to the miracle of compound interest, you are giving 4.6 million percent.

If you mean Coldspring, promoter just announced on TXBRA forum that they've decided to cancel the event, unfortunately.

Man, we've had a bad go of it so far this year. Still not complaining about the weather though as our winter was unseasonably mild even for Texas. All roads lead to Tulsa Tough for my season.

Yeah, February and early March the weather cooperated and we had some great racing. Last few weeks have been frustrating though, having good road races get canceled two weekends in a row sucks (especially since they're pretty much local for me). My main focus for the next little bit is going to be the state time trials in June.

3.5 hours again this morning. Felt better finally (that last race kicked the crap outa me for days). Car cut the group ride in half and I actually helped chase, but fizzled out before the sprint. I used to be one of the attackers and pullers, but I was a bit hesitant with how I felt on Tuesday. At least I helped chase, even if I only faced real wind thrice in 30 minutes.

2x12 sst with 30 second bursts every third minute (to keep it easier to track...). Would have done a third, or at least made an attempt, but I was pressed for time.

More easy, but I get to do a few sprints.

I've been considering the state TTs as well but just haven't put the time on the TT bike that i'd like to. Are you familiar with the course profile?

It's a fast course. Out and back, mostly flat on good pavement. A few gentle inclines, but nothing I'd call a hill (although there is a bit of elevation gain over the last few miles). Course runs mostly north/south, so you're typically going to have a headwind one way and a tailwind the other (headwind on the first half is most likely). Last year this event was my first 40K ITT and I was on a road bike with clip-ons, so I'm anxious to see how much I can improve on my time this year.

My PMC says my legs are more rested than ever. The lack of real sleep says my legs never recover. I don't know which I believe.
