I have a Garmin 520, a Nite Rider Lumina 750 front light and there is also a Nite Rider rear light attached to the rack (but it is out of view. Yesterday I installed a Brook's B17 saddle. I'm running 28mm tires. I moved down to the 28's from the stock 32's and I'm pretty sure the 28's are here to stay.

Not really. It is running Continental 4000sII @ 28mm. I'm very happy with the ride characteristics. Right now it's ridden 95% on smooth roads and paths. The current configuration is setup to do casual rides under 30 miles. I have a road bike I use specifically for higher mileage exercise. I really have no immediate need for a wider tire. Once the virus passes, I have some tentative plans to do some overnight rides where I'll have to pack a few extra things so I might size back up to 32's for that purpose specifically.

I bet that's a very comfortable ride! Does the rack have front mounting struts (keep it from rotating forward and rearward)?
I used to live in Herndon, right behind the high school off Dranesville Rd. I spent countless hours riding the trails in Sugarland Run park with my friends. I never did ride the W&OD much when I lived there. I'm out in Winchester now...I need to get back to Herndon and check out some of the places I used to ride.

Nice thing about this bike is it comes with fenders, rack, rear kick stand, and integrated front and rear lighting. It's super comfy and it's relatively light for an ebike. Upgraded to a Brooks B67 and have Ergon GP5 grips on order.
When I'm riding with my fiancé, I'm usually riding my Roll and she's on the Verve+. Great way for her to keep up (or for her to stay ahead of me!)
Moved to Reston from Hawaii (don't ask) back in October and have enjoyed the W&OD a lot (my apartment is about 2 minutes from the trail). I'll check out the Sugarland Run trails. I believe there is a direct connection between the W&OD and the park trails, right? - thanks!!!

yeah those were the vital changes - of course you also need road STIs first thing
then the less-vital changes to make it all work right:
- switched to a wider range freewheel
- switched the v-brakes to 80mm mini-v brakes to get the lever-feel/modulation correct
- swapped in a shorter stem
- added a chain guide
- longer kickstand to compensate for the taller tires
- different saddle to compensate for the more road-like riding position (not shown)
- shortened the chain a bit
- redid all the cables/housing/tape
then the "just-because" changes:
- scraped off some decals/stickers
- lightweight pedals
- lightweight skewers
- chainstay protector

This is my new 2021 Trek FX Sport Carbon 4:
- it is currently undergoing the transition for better fit & ergonomics to meet my needs........the original Bontrager parts are okay but don't always perform like after-market parts........

This bike has served my purposes after five years and is still a joy to ride. I do wish that it had through axels but still a keeper.
