Put on a set of MKS AR3 pedals with toe clips. Talk about finnicky to get your shoes into.

Tango 1-
Ditch the nylon straps for leather. The nylon is too flexible and non-self-supporting so it collapses the opening for the shoe and will not stay stable.

If you switch to leather zefal/christophe straps, they hold their open shape and make it much easier.

A successfull day for the Colnago Master I bought with serious problems.
The framebuilder in charge asked how to go on with his job.
And later that day I succeeded to get a correct useable Gilco look-alike tube for a very reasonable price!
I already had in mind a normal round seat tube would be okay, but this is very nice, I'm really happy.

Once you get it setup better you will get the hang of it and you have to practice to get good at it, especially when you are faltering or in traffic/chaotic situations.

I've shared this picture elsewhere as i just pulled it out of my attic -- but todays C&V goal is to get this old rig cleaned up, -- the dim lighting does not showcase how incredibly filthy this poor bike is by my standards. Ive got plans for it, but for today - just the clean up will be enough.

Sold the poor man's Pinarello and met another vintage bike snob like myself.
[awful craigslist downloaded pic, sorry]
Shout-out to @Wildwood for bringing me this and several other projects earlier this year.

Another shockingly cold day today -10 early in the morning here in Fairplay got sunny and did warm up to about 30 in the sun. So only went on short ride on the SS Nishiki now 45 years old frame and some of the parts wise stiill a lot of snow, ice, mud, slush and frozen mud.
Still winter in some places.
In some places pretty much Spring looking almost like summer still only 30 degrees or so.

Today I bought the last bits for my latest build, I took apart my Gazelle Champion Mondial from 1986 to swap the Shimano 600EX group for a Campagnolo Chorus group. Need to fit the chain and all the cables. Pics will be posted when it is all done.
