I'd want to see photos taken from the front and the back to see if the potato chip effect extends to the frame and fork.

You probably already saw those photos, though. Forgot that not everybody avoids facebook.

I actually do avoid facebook and all other social media, except BF. I just have FOMO as bike sales have migrated to facebook, no account, but sometimes it lets me look. Have yet to find a facebook bike I "needed", did see one that was a great deal and had a friend inquire but never heard back.

Sure, the fork is bent. But compared to the wheels and the frame, it's quite straight.

I didn't know Salvador Dali was a frame builder!

Seriously, what a great way to test for impairment.

Cops set that bike up at a drunk driving check. Suspected drivers are asked to prove they're sober by riding this bike. If they agree to ride it, they're truly loaded....

I bet it has a hell of a back story

Rare, vintage Schwinn Waterford bicycle. I don’t know much about the bike but I know that it’s highly sought after. Make me an offer

That's pretty cool, I'm not sure that's such a wacky price. I bet the fork is wicker-wrapped steel. Is there an entire metal traditional double-diamond frame in there, just with plant-based cladding?

There's no question: that's a low-end steel frame gussied up with wood and wood-lookalike bits. The frame tubes are probably, as you say, covered in cladding.

Nicely done, though, and those are aluminum rims, so that's a nice touch. I wonder whether the top tube is bent behind the head tube or if the frame was built that way.

Drillium with attitude!

Lookit that seat post! No wonder the bike is light. No sign of further adventures with a drill, and asking the seller isn't likely to be well received as he says in the ad:

"Gitane French racing bicycle. Not answering questions. This is getting stupid. Very lightweight will need a lil oiling in the right places this will be a great road bike. $50.00 must state when when messaging me the word Read. All others will be blocked." Woo-wee!

Pick up a nice vintage road bike or find the seller's ex boyfriend? John, are you on this forum somewhere?
