Trek 510 frame/fork w/ 650b canti studs 22.5"

I know it's not a looker yet, but I brought this frame to gugie a few years back to work his magic. This was my wife's bike, but she ended up liking a different 700c Trek more. Size 22.5"

Not itching to sell, but I know this is a common project request and you can skip the wait time!

Thinking $150 plus shipping. I'll include the cantis (SE in the rear) but not the mismatch headset (trust me you don't want it).

That's a pretty complete makeover and a good price considering the Gugie mods.
Bottle cage mounts, rack mounts, downtube braze-ons, etc. Takes what, a 650 X 44?
With a fresh powder coat and some nice components, that would be a great touring/all arounder!

If that decal had some scorch marks and a little bloodstain it would be perfect.

A serial number is all we need... But seeing as how it has cable guides on the top tube, it' probably early 80's.

I have been pondering a tourer project for good roads and light loads, and that frame is my size with all the right mods. Wouldn't have to worry about scratching up the finish since it's no longer original.
Looks like the earlier 510's were Ishiwata 022 and the later ones were Reynolds 501.
