Looking for 24mm single chainring cranksets
I finally got tired of the chain drooping on my Nexus 11 vertical drop-outs conversion. I bought an eccentric bottom bracket for it. (Well, I also bought a chain tensioner, but I think the EBB will be cleaner.) The EBB wants a 24mm diameter spindle. My BB shell is a basic 68mm wide shell.
I have a Dura-ace BB9100 and Sora (triple) FC-R3030 in there now. I believe that I can re-use the Sora for testing, but I'd like to get a single chain-ring set for it. I'm aiming for 42T.
As far as I can tell, my options are:
Race Face Aefect EXI (the 24mm, not the 30mm) - should work but you also have to buy a spider and it might be $250 by the time I'm done
Shimano GRX - FC-RX600 - I don't see 42T. Can they swap chain-rings? "110mm 4-bolt asymmetric" - fun!
SRAM GXP - 42T, could work, but I'd like another option
Truvativ GXP - not enough teeth AFAICT
and ?
Unfortunately, while a track crank-set would be perfect, they tend to be square taper. If someone made a 24mm square taper spindle, my options would skyrocket.
