Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Is it just me or is that stem installed way higher than the minimum insertion depth? Looks like I can see the top piece of the wedge peeking out over the headset.

Agreed, if that's a nitto jag, the min insertion line or what they call "III MAX HT III" would be at the tip of the end of the bar clamp. That's just a reflection however.

Today I finally got a freewheel for the Fuji (been single speeding on a 6-spd cogset up til now), put an Ideale and some creme tires on it. I still don't know about the tires. The back one is lumpy so maybe that's a sign to go back to black. Reckon it's time I remove that reflector and figure out my chainring situation. I'm thinking I'll put a bash guard on in place of big ring, maybe make my own bash guard by grinding teeth off an old wasted big ring.

It's a 6.9 SSL Project One paint Madone. RL rear wheel, Aeolus 7 from wheel, chop and flop Bontrager XXX lite bars, XXX lite stem. I've swapped out bars though. This was my other road bike, was playing around as I was switching group sets.

2014 Specialized Langster Street. Ordered last Saturday and just picked it up and brought it home. Will be my paved path bike as the Nature Boy is set up for off path exploring and levee riding.

Was it replaced with the Fuji Track 1.1 or something? Where did the Fuji track 2.0 go

I believe the Track Pro was replaced with the Track Elite but I don't know about the 2.0.

Been zipping around on my Centurion cruiser lately. I found this build to be very well suited for riding in my area.

I hope I didn't sound like a jerk, I'm just suggesting he adjust his brake pad to prevent wearing out prematurely. It's not exactly a trivial detail.
