A lazy eight miles in beautiful weather - on the Electra Townie (admired by neighbors, offensive to dogs, and the bane of the "serious" cyclist - which I am most profoundly not...).

On yesterday's ride, sounded like something rattling up front. Couldn't pinpoint it for sure till afterwards - both (BB7) front brake caliper fixing bolts were loose. So, took it back to the guy who replaced pads and adjusted it not long ago and made him fix it........that would be me. After adjusting again, and also adjusting/tightening the headset and riser went out and rode a quiet ten miles in 60+ degree weather this afternoon. Dry, too. Raining now and supposed to get cold again tomorrow.

I hope you read that guy the riot act, Jan, he ought to know better as long as he has been doing this stuff. You can't find good help these days........

25.10 miles this afternoon, this warm weather is going to spoil me if it sticks around. Weather forecast has us in the low 70's for highs and low 50's for our lows, no complaints about this from me. I realize that the cold air will return, got to enjoy the good while its around.

Started off to be a beautiful day but that didn't last for very long. Between the wind and the rain, today's 45 mile ride was not one of my favorite rides.

31.7 miles today - overcast but pleasant temps. Beats the cold and snow back home ... 4 more rides till I'm back on the trainer.

From all the climbing that you do I would never have thought to hear the above bold text come from you.

Yesterday you said it was 25.10. Can we assume the same second decimal place?

You may certainly assume anything you wish, sir. Just remember what happens when one assumes......

If the powers that be would like, I can use 8 digit precision like we were required to do back in college days, although why in the heck you would ever need to use 8 places to the right of the decimal is beyond me. I always wanted to ask the professors how they thought our measuring devices could find that much accuracy. As my F-I-L always told us out on the building sites, "You ain't building no Swiss watch, BOY." No wonder people think engineers are nuts, NVTS, nuts!

I rode this past Sunday, today and planning to ride tomorrow. All because the temps are in the low 70s here in N. GA and I'm trying out (and loving) my new Selle Anatomica saddle. See my updated post in the SA thread.

25 miles this afternoon, still spring like weather here. Note: no decimal points, or places, were used or harmed in making this reply. (I fully support the Society to Eliminate the Inhumane Treatment of Decimal Points)

Rode to the gym and back (back, posterior deltoids). Also got to test my murderously bright headlight.

It got all the way up to 39F today. My lower limit for cycling is 46-48F..... but the sun was shining and I couldn't stand it. I hadn't bicycled (except trainer spinning) since Nov 8th. It was cold and I only got in a 10 mile ride... with a mid-way break for hot chocolate and a warm-up. But it was fun... and it really felt good to bicycle again.

"No decimal point should be pressed into service for which it is inappropriate." +1.

I rode my commute this morning. Temps around freezing when I left the house. New gloves sure were nice. It is approximately 16 miles. I can say no more with any great precision.
