Rode into work this morning. Fewer cars due to MLK Day, fewer folks on the Metro Train. Kind of cold (42 Deg.F. rolling through Norwalk, CA) so overall a fun commute.

Feeling good legs even after 92 mi. on Sat. and 101 mi. on Sun.

Working on a 50 mile ride today that got cut short due rain. 41 miles, but still a very good ride.

I got a new bike so decided to brave the 37* temps outside and did a quick 10 mile ride.

It was awesome.

Rode the regular 25.1 miles this afternoon, those south winds are picking up ahead of some rain, that is supposed to be here by Thursday, or Friday. And there is supposed to be a possible strong winter storm working up for Monday, moving up the eastern seaboard, hope that this falls through.

did you ride today

6 miles through the dunes, beach, and paths on my fatbike. Slow (5-7 mph) but like constantly climbing 3%.

Did I ride today? Yes, I ride every day unless:

1. I'm sick
2. I'm out of town
3. There's a hurricane

Cool 10.20 mile ride (34°) on the trike. Sun was out but not very warm. It's amazing how out-of-shape you get after two months. And there is a totally different dynamic laying back on a recumbent trike with your legs up. But I like it.

I rigged a temporary wireless sending unit using the speedo from the Sirrus until the new touch screen gets here from China.
Not too shabby for $13.
I was pretty accurate estimating distance and speed up to that point. 12mph seems to be average, not quite the 14-15 on the Allez, closer to the Sirrus. My legs sure are tired But I'm so glad to be back on the road.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with those kunckleheads at PedalMyBike.Com? None of their e-mail links work and I can't verify my account.

Yesterday 18 miles and today the same ride. I felt fit and weighed 186 this past October 1st. Then my busy season hit, stopped riding, holidays then the flu and Sunday morning I stood on the scale at 202.5. I looked like hell. Felt terrible. 198.5 today and I have a lot of work to do. I did 120 mile weeks all summer and need to get back to that mileage.

Waiting for UPS to deliver my medication made for a late morning start. Rode 51 miles but was definitely not prepared for the temperature to get up to 85º today. I didn't have any electrolytes with me and the heat just took it out of me. I'm worn out but it will make for a very good nights sleep.

25.5 miles this afternoon, front moved through mid-morning drying out the humidity. Great day for riding all round.

35 miles this afternoon with some really strong crosswinds for most of the ride. Good thing I was in the MUP or I think I would have been stopped for PUI had I been on a public roadway.

28 mi. out of a planned 36 this afternoon, bailed out of work early and took advantage of the 44º temps. The clouds moved in fast wind picked up but it was nice getting out, first time on the bike outside since 12/26.
12 mi. out I bunny hopped at an old converted rail bridge, don't know how the heck I did it but something behind my right knee popped like a guitar string. I went on two more miles and was feeling the numbness in my knee and figured I better head back. Hopefully nothing serious, it wasn't feeling too good as I neared the end of my ride.

Sorry about your knee, 02Giant, hope it isn't serious.

22 miles in the winds this afternoon, back to more normal temps today after a few warm days and some heavy rains, yesterday.

15 mile ride after our club's annual meeting today. Even though it was a balmy and dry 40 degrees only two of us out of 60 attendees rode. Winter mindset - I know how that works. Felt great after not having ridden since last Saturday.
(Several hardy club members did ride to and from the meeting.)
