That should be a 1985 Sequoia. A longer cage increases the chain wrap capacity, allowing you to run a bigger differential between your largest and smallest gear. However, in order to handle freewheels with larger freewheel cogs, you have to do one or a combination of three things: increase the drop of the upper pivot, increase the slant angle of the parallelogram and/or change the geometry of the cage. This derailleur is quite rare and have yet to see one in person. However, based on pictures, they changed the cage geometry, moving the pivot from between the pulley wheels, to the axis of the jockey pulley, which would allow extra clearance for larger cogs. While they could also have redesigned the body for greater drop and/or slant, I don't believe they did so. This would be quite expensive and when they created the Cyclone MK II GT, they simply altered the cage geometry. Finally, I think SunTour was forced to quickly respond with a new high end GT derailleur after the unexpected failure with the Superbe Tech L and GTL. I haven't seen specs for this derailleur but the Cyclone MK II GT gained 6T in chain wrap capacity and and 8T in large cog capacity, so I would expect similar gains over the standard cage version of the Superbe Pro.
