Is it just me, or does anybody else see Erik Estrada with a perm astride that beautiful Ciocc in the Racer-Mate ad? It's prolly just me

Love the Bianchi ad in this large format; I have this magazine and the scan shows the details better than the real thing!

Thanks for the upload.

Potent memories...thanks for posting! Getting sentimental about gearing patterns, gear inches, and Frank Berto

hey, I've got this issue too!
The series of road tests deserves to be shared, although it is presented in a somewhat confusing overlap of photos and text.

I'm a bit partial to the article about brakes, written by Sheldon Brown and John Allen. This was long before Sheldon became widely known for his helpful web site. John Allen has taken over the maintenance and updates for the site.

The Racer-Mate. I bought one when they came out..still have it, though I'm not sure why. There's other options theses days.

I noticed the Stump Jumper ad on P. 118 that shows a drop bar conversion for touring. They were smart to promote some of these early MTBs for touring use back then.
