Northern Teir Eastbound question
For those that have ridden this Route starting in Anacortes. When did you start? Wondering about snow at the higher elevations.

I started June 1 and encountered some fresh snow in the higher passes. Temps were right around freezing. Bring an extra dry jersey for the descents.
It was an exciting week. Good luck on your trip.

Bikes: Specialized Tarmac Expert, 2002 TREK 520, Schwinn Mesa WINTER BIKE, Huffy Rock Creek 29er, 1970s-era Ross ten speed. All my bikes are highly modified(except the Tarmac) yet functional, and generally look beat to ****. .

I started in July and still I had to ride through some snow. It was nothing that bothered me and in fact was kind of fun. You never know what's going to hit up in the high mountain passes, no matter what time of year.
