Truck driver dies after collision with bicyclist in Sparks
Here's the article.
https://www.rgj.com/story/news/2023/04/13/truck-driver-dies-after-collision-with-bicyclist-in-sparks/70113267007/
"The driver of a stolen pickup truck died after a collision with a bicyclist, a second crash and a foot chase, according to a Sparks Police report released Thursday."
Word choice matters.

When I read the title of the thread, I wondered if it was going to be one of those role-reversal tests for us.
The actual story is interesting. Thanks for posting.
(I can only speculate, with heavy stereotype influence and expectation bias, how fleeing on foot might have caused his death.)

To be honest, I was about to revise my argument that no motorist has ever died from a collision with a pedestrian or cyclist.

Although not mentioned in the article, one thing is clear...the cyclist was not wearing roadie shoes.

Not Karma...more like Truckma.
Little crazy to jump into the truck's bed, but no telling what some of us would do for justice, at that moment.

In my younger days I would have done that if such a situation arose, but now that I'm in my late 60's I doubt I could jump into the back of a pickup truck bed!! LOL!!!

I have to wonder if the pickup driver should have been riding bikes more to get some exercise.

Weird story. Maybe don't go crowing about justice when, for all we know, his behavior might have been the result of whatever it was that caused him to drop dead. And no, drugs are not the only thing that can make a person start doing crazy things.
