All my vintage bikes are dura ace equipped: 7400, 7700 and 7800 with c24 or ea90slx wheels.
i got 10 bikes...
on average, 400 for the dura ace group, 300 for the wheels.... plus the cost of the whole bike wich gets parted out....
a lot of cash, mind you its in CAN dollars so i dont feel as guilty, right..

Capped at 400 except for my spouse’s Rivendell Atlantis that was on blowout sale in 2008 when economy crashed. Then this year a King of Mercia found me. A whole bike for far less than a new frame alone.

Yes, from right around 1950 with later modifications for the derailleur setup. It's 61cm center-to-top.
There is a long thread about the bike from when I purchased it last year and it was briefly for sale until I figured out a way to hang onto it for now. Looking forward to completing the restoration after I finish graduate school in December.

The most I’ve spent is easily for this Bianchi Centenario. It was absolutely perfect. I enjoyed owning it, but eventually decided that I wasn’t in the museum business. I was able to sell for well beyond my purchase price. I’ve had several that were in the $1,000-$2,000 range, many of which have moved on for similar prices.

It’s a 2008 with JCW kit that’s been highly modified way beyond JCW specs. Definitely a fun car and very practical.

They are very fun cars and that one is awesome! Mine was only 265hp but felt like a lot more with the 6 speed and limited slip it would tear up the canyon , I called it my Boxster killer! I could hear the supercharger whistle like a tea kettle when I accelerated . A lot of fun .....until my ticket ..... GOOD FEELING GONE!

This 77 Trek TX900, was the most $$$ I’ve spent on a vintage bike, probably cause it’s one of the few bikes purchased whole, and ready to ride. Found it on eBay, it was nearby, so contacted the seller, and then drove up and bought it before the auction ended. No hesitation whatsoever. However, after selling off the Brooks Pro, the Mavic blues, Regina freewheel, and Cinelli stem, it was almost a free bike.

I thought the bike had a tad too much flex in it though, but that was in 1976 and most frames were that way.

Yea , I'm 69 and that darn ticket cost me $500 by the time I paid for the ticket, traffic school and the state tacked on an additional fee for the ability to take traffic school . I was going 62 in a 50 zone on a straight country road with no houses or anything . I couldn't believe he wrote the ticket. If I had been going 65 , the ticket would be a tier 2 . CHP was hiding in the shade of a tree.

A couple of years ago, I got dinged for going 59 in a 45 (out in the middle of nowhere), but since this is North Dakota, I was assessed 1 point on my license, but wasn't reported to insurance-- anything less than 15 mph over is 1 point and no report to insurance company. Oh, and the fine was $1 per mph, so 14 bucks for the ticket. 
To be honest, I didn't know about any of those things as I hadn't had a speeding ticket in N. Dakota in over 20 years, but now I smugly go 10 or 11 over when I feel like it.
