'long-reach' cantilever brake ?
Rear Brake Question: I put a cyclo-cross (700c) fork on my old Trek 990 MTB (Metallic Brown!)
Does someone make a 'long-reach' cantilever brake to switch from MTB wheels to 700c wheels ?
Just building a grocery-getter, gravel-thing....which will often sport fenders and a basket.. so nothing crazy.
It is also running super-wide gravel tires. Nice!
If it's not easy I can use a regular caliper brake I suppose...but that's odd.

I'm confused. If you're using 700c wheels on a 700c fork, I don't get the problem.
OTOH, if you mean switching to MTB wheels on a 700c canti fork, answer is no, because the rim is too low.

Just to clarify, I am talking about a brake for the rear wheel, using canti's on the Trek braze-on's,
going from 26" to 700c
Hmmm, MOTOLITEs of course look great! Never bought a Paul Component, would love to have an excuse to do so, they are just too beautiful ( ie.expensive) maybe I will go that route. That ONE component equals 1/3 the price of the entire build..lol's. Thanks guys.

The problem with going from 559 to 622 wheels is the loss of leverage unless the canti arm's cable attachment point is also increased in length. ten one will need a lever with more cable pull amounts. Any chance a disk set up will work? Andy

I’ve never used them but I wonder if these would work?
EDIT: looks like they depend on your current bosses being the threaded in type, with 10mm threads.

BOX TWO BRAKE POST EXTENDERS. I like this solution best.. it is also cheapest.
Andy S. thanks for that bit of info. I suspected the brake 'feel' would be diminished by the loss of leverage..... will keep working on the multiple problems I have created!

Also back on topic another huge +1 for Motolitesm they are expensive but they are purdy and stop really really well (and come in purple). Maybe not on this build maybe but certainly consider them on down the line if you are stuck on rim brakes. Also one of the easiest linear pull brakes to disengage thanks to the canoe design they have. It took me a while to figure it out but once I did my gosh it really works well. Plus in your situation it is basically designed around that somewhat in his video for them he shows 700c in a 26" bike or vice versa or something.

sry. didn't mean to shout just a lazy cut & paste job. Thanks for the brake expertise/ advice. Will eventually let you all know how I solve this.
