TrainerRoad and Kickr

Upgraded to new trainerroad software and ever since I lose power connection 2 to 3 times per session

any thoughts?

If connecting with ANT+ you need to move whatever it is closer. I have found that the range can vary depending what it is (generally less than 1m).

I have an ant stick and extenstion
so the stick is right next to the kickr
this only started once i updated TR software

Assuming nothing else has really changed sounds like the updated TR software is causing issue with your particular HW setup. Contact them and see if they have anything to say.

Yeah, I had problems with TR on my hardware with frequent drops and even PC crashes. Their techs tried, but ultimately couldn't figure it out. I had to revert to the legacy app or the Android app to get in a ride, which sucked. But yeah, the OP should definitely contact them and give it a shot.

As an aside, with TR's second price hike in less than a year, I decided to look at alternatives. Zwift doesn't do it for me, but I'm liking Sufferfest more than TR. Their 4DP power profile/scaling makes a lot of sense to me and it doesn't hurt that their monthly pricing is a third less than TR.
